The City of Charlotte’s Landscape Management plants and maintains trees that are in the city’s right of way. As the city canopy ages, trees are being removed, and more urban development occurs, the City plans for around 800 trees to be planted a year. Some residents are resistant to having the trees on their property seeing them as being too much of a responsibility. I conceptualized the 2-phase process and designed the creative informing residents of the new tree, and how to care for them once planted.
